Final Reporting and Evaluation

The final report and evaluation requirements and forms for TIG website and non-website grants are set forth below.

Note that very helpful evaluation resources were developed through two TIG-funded projects. Innovation Network (InnoNet) produced a wide range of detailed, on-line resources to assist grantees plan and conduct evaluations and meet TIG evaluation requirements. These are available through a special section of the InnoNet website at: www.innonet.org/services/lsc_train. The Technology Evaluation Project also developed a variety of valuable evaluation materials. They are available at: www.lstech.org/TIG/eval.

Web Site Evaluation

LSC has established an evaluation system to systematically assess websites funded through the TIG program. The components of the system are identified below.

New (First) and Renewal (Second) Web Site Grants

Recipients of TIG "new (first) web site grants" and "renewal (second) website grants" must complete evaluations using the Client Web Site Evaluation System, the Advocate Web Site Evaluation System, and the Client Web Site User Interview instruments. You may find the instruments for this at: http://www.lri.lsc.gov/sitepages/tech/tech_eval_tig.htm.

The sequence in which an individual grantee has implemented the different components of their web sites will dictate the specific instruments they should use to meet the particular evaluation requirements for their new and renewal website grants. Grantees that implemented the client side of their web sites first should complete the Client Web Site Evaluation System to meet the evaluation requirements for the new web site grants and the Advocate Web Site Evaluation System to meet the evaluation requirements for their renewal web site grants. Grantees that implemented the advocate side of their web sites first should complete the Advocate Web Site Evaluation System to meet the evaluation requirements for the new web site grants and the Client Web Site Evaluation System to meet the evaluation requirements for their renewal web site grants.

All grantees should complete the Client User Interview instruments as part of their renewal grant evaluations.

Recipients of TIG Program Renewal (Second) Web Site Grants also must submit a Renewal Web Site Narrative Report as part of their final evaluation report.

Recipients must complete all other grant milestone requirements prior to completing evaluations for first or second grants. Grantees should contact Mounia Bensalah (bensalahm@lsc.gov) to ensure that they have met these requirements. For questions about web site evaluations contact Bristow Hardin (hardinb@lsc.gov).

Continuation (Third) Web Site Grants

The Continuation (Third) Web Site Final Evaluation Report Form provides guidance for preparing the final report for these grants.

TIG Final Report Format

LSC has prepared a FINAL PROJECT EVALUATION REPORT FORM  to be used by all grantees for final TIG reports (except web site grants) submitted to LSC. If you have any questions about the format, please contact your TIG contact or Bristow Hardin at 202-295-1553 or hardinb@lsc.gov.

TIG Evaluation Plan

Every grant made under TIG (except web site grants) must have an evaluation plan approved by LSC before a second payment can be received. To help you prepare your plan, the TIG staff has prepared a sample form with instruction, available below. For questions on TIG evaluations, please contact Bristow Hardin at 202-295-1553 or hardinb@lsc.gov.
